Guidance on changing details such as name or the email address associated with a user account.

Change user email address

⚠️ Important: Your platform uses email addresses as the username needed to login. Changes to the email address can change the way a user can login.

If you have a SSO (single sign-on) integration, you should not change the email address of a user. This will deny them access via the SSO.

For Academic or Education platforms, your users could be moving to Graduate Access status which would allow them to login via an alternative route than the CCM. These users can change their email address in the My Profile section.

If your platform has the CCM attached, you can manually change the email address of a user.

To do this, follow the below steps.

  1. Enter the CCM and search for and select the user.

  2. Click Edit.

  3. Enter the relevant email address in the corresponding section of the form.

  4. Click Save.


Change user name

  1. From the admin area, click the Find Users tile.

  2. Search for and select the user then click Edit

  3. Change the first name or last name and click Update.
